Why South Africa?
South Africa is famous for its excellent golfing opportunities, high-quality golf courses and favorable, warm climate that allows for A12 months of play.
The country is truly a favorite destination for golf lovers, a world golf superpower, offering a wide range of experiences on varied golf courses in picturesque surroundings. With 450 registered courses, suitable for all different skill levels are available: from African bushveld courses to most scenic Ocean beach areas that are enjoyable for everyone.
The most famous world-class courses were designed by Gary Player, Jack Nicklaus, Peter Matkovich, and Ernie Else. But South Africa is also home to the world’s only “extreme 19th hole” – the most unique par 3 – which can only be reached by helicopter from a height of 461 meters!
Golf trips and African experiences
Below are four golf programs from our wide range that are providing a taste of the interesting programs available not only for golf enthusiasts, but also for non-golfing guests. In addition to golfing, there are also opportunities to experience colorful, cultural, special, adventurous, and memorable African experiences.
We organize our tours for INDIVIDUALS, for 2, 4, or 6 people, with or without an English-speaking golf professional, with car rental or driver-guide services.
Of course, we also cater for smaller GROUPS of 8, 10 or 12 people planning their program together, in which case it is also possible to have an English-speaking golf expert and organized and insured minibus transportation.
The programs below can be extended after the golf programs, e.g., to explore Cape Town and its surroundings, visit famous game reserves, taste award-winning wines and brandies from the Cape wine region, or even take an exciting helicopter flight over the Victoria Falls, one of the wonders of the world.
Golf programs
Golf program I.
– The famous Sun City and Lost City in the Pilanesberg Game Reserve
6 nights/7 days program
Individual and group tourism support in the northwestern part of the country, in the mini Las Vegas complex, near the Pilanesberg Game Reserve.
Number of participants:
Individual: 2, 4, or 6 golfers and non-golfers, with or without professional accompaniment.
Group: up to 8–10 people, as required.

The start date of the program is based on individual needs and depends solely on availability.

Programme plan:
Arrival in Johannesburg, followed by a welcome and private transfer accompanied by a member of our staff to your accommodation 120 km away in Sun City/Lost City in the western part of the country. The complex features 18-hole, par 72 golf courses designed by Gary Player, South Africa’s golf legend. Both courses offer a great challenge for golf enthusiasts, regardless of their skill level.
The program includes 3-5 days of golfing, along with other interesting daily activities. The courses are located in the immediate vicinity of the Pilanesberg Game Reserve (90,000 hectares), offering a wide range of interesting cultural and special African programs and experiences, such as game viewing, etc., for non-golfing guests.
The above program can be extended with visits to Cape Town or Victoria Falls, if desired.

Golf program II.
– Kruger Game Reserve and surrounding area
7 nights/8 days golf program
It is possible to add another interesting short program in Cape Town and its surroundings – upon request.

Golf courses:
near Kruger Game Reserve and within the Reserve.
Programme plan:
Arrival in Johannesburg on an international flight, after a welcome our office staff will check guests in for the local flight to Nelspruit/Mbombela, arriving after a 1-hour flight. Hotel staff will be waiting for guests and will accompany the small group to their accommodation, not far from Kruger National Park. Check-in, then dinner. The next morning, the daily golf program begins and continues for the next 4-5 days.
For non-golfers, there is again a wide range of programs to choose from, including excursions in the area, a visit to the world’s third largest canyon, Blyde River Canyon, morning or afternoon game viewing, a visit to an animal rehabilitation center, or simply relaxing by the hotel’s large swimming pool.

Golf program III.
– Cape Town and surroundings
8 nights/9 days program
Takes guests to Cape Town, the third most beautiful city in the world, and its surrounding area

Group: 8–10 (or more) golfers and non-golfers, with or without a professional escort.

Golf courses:
PearlValley, Steenberg Golf Course and similar courses in the wine region.
Programme plan:
Arrival in Cape Town. On the first day, a guided tour of the city, then the next morning, a trip to the 18-hole, par 72 golf course located 35 – 45 km away in the beautiful Paarl-Franschhoek Valley. Known as Jack Nicklaus’ signature golf course, it covers an area of 1000 hectares and has received numerous awards for its famous layout and well-maintained environment. Playing on this course is an experience for players of all levels.
The tour includes a 4-5 day golf program, along with other colorful daily activities.
Non-golfing guests can enjoy a range of exciting activities, such as a tour of the Cape Peninsula, exploring the Cape wine region, visiting Table Mountain (weather permitting), or perhaps a boat trip on the Atlantic Ocean to the famous Robben Island, 10 km away, etc.

Programme plan:
Arrival at Johannesburg International Airport, welcome by our representative, who will check guests in for their domestic flight to George. In George, guests will be welcomed by a representative of Fancourt Estate and transferred to the unique venue for the golf programme over the next few days. The Montagu, Parkland, and Outeniqua golf courses were designed by Gary Player. Whether you are an experienced golf pro or a beginner, you will find a course that suits your level here. Then fly to the northern part of the country towards Kruger Park.
Two days of exciting play that will be an experience of a lifetime. The course is known as “pure elegance,” a golfer’s paradise with innovative landscaping and course construction techniques in a picturesque setting.
For non-golfing guests, we offer programs in George to the nearby town of Knysna, the capital of the
Garden Route, an interesting lagoon cruise program, or Mossel Bay, the Bartholomeus Diaz Museum, and similar attractions. Exciting wildlife programs await guests at the edge of Kruger Park.
