South Africa – Victoria falls

Arrival at Johannesburg International Airport in the morning, after welcome private transfer to your accommodation. Check in, then after a short rest, prepare for the late afternoon/evening programme: guided visit to the Lesedi Cultural Village, meeting with the families of five South African tribes, singing, dancing, ending with a sumptuous buffet dinner.

After breakfast, a morning half-day guided sightseeing tour of Pretoria, one of the country's capitals. Return to Johannesburg and the rest of the day at leisure to walk and explore this modern and elegant part of the city.

Accommodation: as the night before, JOHANNESBURG

Breakfast, transfer to Johannesburg International Airport and take-off and flight to Livingstone, Zambia, around 11:00 - 11:30. Approximately 2 hours flight. Arrival, transfer to the accommodation after visa clearance. Check-in, after a short rest, sunset cruise on the Zambezi River for about 2 - 2 ½ hours with snacks and drinks, interesting experience to see hippos and elephants on the waterfront. Back to the hotel, free time in the evening.

Gather for breakfast, followed by a guided visit - about 2 hours - to the famous waterfall. The rest of the day at leisure, with a choice of optional activities to suit everyone's interests. Suggested experience of a lifetime: helicopter flight over the falls with return transfer - at own expense. See detailed list of optional activities.

In the evening, free time and dinner - at own expense.

Accommodation: same as previous evening, LIVINGSTONE

Breakfast, then after some free time check-out from the hotel and transfer to the city's International Airport. Noon flight back to Johannesburg where, after a short wait, board a local flight to the world famous Kruger National Park.

Arrival, transfer to your accommodation for an interesting wildlife programme in open safari vehicles, accompanied by an experienced game ranger. After settling into your accommodation, prepare for a sumptuous buffet dinner.

Early morning wake up - between 05:30 - 06:30 - and after a cup of tea or coffee, depart for an exciting morning game drive with an experienced game ranger in safari vehicles. Beware, the morning hours are chilly, it is recommended to dress warmly and in layers! After 2 - 3 hours, return and after a hearty buffet breakfast, free time to relax and walk around before a light lunch, followed by the afternoon game drive. After returning, dinner is served.

Accommodation: as the previous evening, KRUGER NATIONAL PARK

Again there is the opportunity for early morning game drive, then check-out after breakfast and private transfer to Hoedspruit Airport for your next domestic flight. Optional programme: instead of early morning game drive, you can opt for a private guided transfer programme and see the most beautiful part of the famous Blyde River Canyon: the beautiful surroundings of the Three Rondavels and reservoir dam en route to Hoedspruit Airport. Check-in for the Hoedspruit - Cape Town flight and arrive 2 ½ hours later in South Africa's most beautiful city. Private transfer to hotel, evening at leisure.

After breakfast, start your half-day guided Cape Town sightseeing tour, including the UNESCO World Heritage Site Table Mountain - weather permitting, free afternoon and evening after visiting the city's main attractions. Optional programme: depart at 17:15 for a 90-minute sunset catamaran cruise - with a glass of champagne - to the Atlantic Ocean near the coast.

Accommodation: as the night before, CAPE TOWN

Breakfast, then start your full day guided Cape Peninsula visit. On the way guests will see the most beautiful bays of the peninsula, the famous panoramic Chapman`s Peak, the 12 Apostles mountain range, and after the Cape of Good Hope, a funicular ride up to Cape Point Lookout will be one of the highlights of the day. A light lunch will be served en route. In the afternoon, continue via Simons Town to Boulders Bay, a favourite habitat of African penguins. Then return to the city. Evening at leisure.

Accommodation: as the previous evening, CAPE TOWN

Breakfast again, then departure for a full day guided tour of the Cape Winelands, covering the towns of Paarl, Franschhoek, the settlement town of the French Huguenots, followed by Stellenbosch, the country's 'wine capital'. The day's programme includes of course 1 x wine cellar tour, 3 x wine tasting experiences and a light lunch. Return to the city in the late afternoon. Evening at leisure. Our local guide will be happy to help with recommendations of interesting and good quality restaurants.

Accommodation: as the night before, CAPE TOWN

Free time in the morning for some shorter activities, e.g. a visit to the Diamond Museum of diamond wholesaler Shimansky, perhaps with a few minutes for last-minute shopping.

In the afternoon, check-out from the hotel, private transfer to Cape Town International Airport and flight back to Europe.
