15-day “GARDEN ROUTE” motorcycle ride

Arrival at Cape Town International Airport around noon. Welcome and transfer to the hotel. After a short rest, depart for the famous harbour area and dinner. Meet your motorbike tour guide.

Accommodation: 4-star Waterfront, breakfast included, close to the port area, CAPE TOWN

• After picking up the hired motorbikes, we will go for a short motorbike ride in the vicinity to get to know the motorbikes and the area.

• The rest of the day is free for leisure.

• In the evening we will have dinner together to prepare for the next day's departure.

Accommodation: as the night before, 4-star hotel in CAPE TOWN.

• After breakfast, departure for the Atlantic coast "whale road" to the southernmost point of the continent, Cape Agulhas.
• On the way we stop in Hermanus for a coffee.
• Continuing on, we will stop briefly for a quick lunch (own expense).
• We will then continue our journey to our accommodation. Upon arrival we will check into our rooms.
• Dinner together.

Accommodation: 4 star hotel with breakfast in CAPE AGULHAS-ban (300 km).

• Departure to explore the interior of the country.
• On the way, a short stop in the town of Swellendam for a delicious coffee.
• We then continue to the ostrich capital of the world, where we stop for a light lunch (own expense).
• The journey continues through the beautiful Swartberg Gorges to Little Karoo.
• In the evening, we will have a communal meat-cooking dinner.

Accommodation: 4-star hotel with breakfast in KLAARSTROOM (approx. 380 km).

• After breakfast we continue our journey southwards back to the Indian Ocean coast.
• On the way, there will be another opportunity for a coffee in the town of De Rust.
• Continuing on, we have a short stop in Joubertina for a light lunch (own expense).
• The road then leads to today's accommodation.
• In the evening, dinner together in a cosy restaurant.

Accommodation: 4-star hotel with breakfast Storms River, in the TSITSIKAMMA National Park region (approx. 260 km)

• Today we will drive along one of the most beautiful stretches of the Garden Route along the ocean coast.
• We will then head inland towards the famous Addo National Park.
• Upon arrival on time, we will prepare for the evening game drive.
• Dinner at own expense.

Accommodation: ADDO NATIONAL PARK

Breakfast, then rest, walk, try the different activities, in the evening again possible wilderness program and dinner at own expense.

Accommodation: as the previous evening, at ADDO NATIONAL PARK.

• After breakfast, departure for today's program back to the Indian Ocean coast. First we visit Plettenberg Bay, a popular and elegant resort town.
• Lunch is also available (own expense).
• Afterwards we continue to Knysna, the "capital" of the Garden Route.
• If time permits, a lagoon boat trip is recommended, as well as a stroll along the Waterfront. The evening will conclude with dinner at your own expense.

Accommodation: 4-star hotel with breakfast in KNYSNA (approx. 360 km).

• Today we travel back inland, first through the beautiful Queteniqua Pass and then along the R62, also known as the Brandy Road. Our first stop is in the town of Barrydale for a brandy cellar visit and brandy tasting.
• Dinner at own expense (hotel).

Accommodation: 4 star hotel with breakfast in BARRYDALE (approx. 270 km).

• After breakfast, we continue our journey further inland through the fruit and grape farms and the world of the famous Cape Winelands. An important town in the region is Franschhoek, the former settlement of the French Huguenots.
• If time permits, a visit to a wine cellar with wine tasting is recommended.
• Dinner at own expense.

Accommodation: 4 star hotel with breakfast in FRANSCHHOEK (approx. 220 km).

• After breakfast, departure for the last day motorbike ride, getting closer and closer to Cape Town. Passing through the scenic Du Toit Pass and arriving in Cape Town in the morning.
• Motorbikes drop off. Check in at your accommodation.

Optional programme:

• At 17:00 hrs there is an opportunity for a sunset cruise on a catamaran boat on the Atlantic Ocean (weather and availability permitting).

Accommodation: 4-star hotel with breakfast in CAPE TOWN (approx. 100 km).

• After breakfast, depart for a full day guided tour of the famous Cape Peninsula, along the Atlantic coast to the Cape of Good Hope.
• From here we take a funicular up to Cape Point Lookout.
• Lunch (own expense).
• In the afternoon, we will visit a favourite spot of African penguins.
• Then a short wine tasting at the Groot Constantia wine farm before returning to the hostel. The evening ends with dinner.

After breakfast, short free time, check-out from the hotel and private transfer to Cape Town International Airport. Check-in for your flight to Europe and return to Europe by overnight flight.
